a lot about paint today
not my paint necessarily
but my relationship to paint

fail

failure is part of learning

i am not used to painting this early in the morning
and the combination of the white hot bright sun
with these almost psychedelic stripes
is making it almost impossible to paint them
with any subtlety

yellow

it was a risk painting this today:
i didn't want to,
i am tired of yellow
and the end result isn't as graceful as it should have been;
stirred up lots of doubt
doubt about many things
including whether or not i am truly embracing learning the lessons i have set for myself
