wip

it's the painting from yesterday's post
and it's exactly what i don't want my work to look like

in the studioso this is what i do next

in the studioi need to trust the process
and incomprehensibly
this is part of it,
it all most likely leads
to painting it out with white
again

wip
(work in progress)
is the acronym i use for those projects which track the evolution of a painting
there are 2 on this site
(wip & the color within)
and this is a slideshow of the 3rd
(which i started on fastforward30years)
it begins with a painting that i liked
but felt was tired
it ends with what i did today

it's this process;
the push and pull
between refinement and abandonment
that seems to intrigue me

lovely process

more important than the end product
for me, most times
