the corners were bending in
so i braced them with chopsticks
i keep trying the oils
but it's not clicking
i've turned off the computer and done some reading
i think i have an idea for the mural project
hihihi, a fellow lx3 user, tipped me off about a 1:1 upgrade
that's my eggplant on the left
and on the right
my neighbor's cuke growing through to our side of the fence
which i will eat
:O

ant free
not sure why
but today
the sun flower & the gladiolas i bought
were crawling with ants
creating a trail
going out to the garden
i brought the flowers outside
and hosed them down
i dust busted the ants
am i awful?

couldn't resist
honestly, because my studio is so light and so open
i haven't really felt the need to paint outside
since i moved here
but
after the winter we had
to not be outside
seemed almost criminal
now the reality is
(and this is a testament to how critical the consistency of my space is to me)
even though i have always taken every opportunity to paint en plein air
moving my space never does wonders for my work
and i usually hate whatever it is i make
the only time that changed
was with the beach paintings
and it took years
