that present thing

christmas
(as it does most years)
has kind of snuck up on me
i am beyond the time where i am willing to buy mindless things to fulfill an obligation
so the answer is to produce something
part of this process was joyous
but part,
since i am trying something new,
has been positively painful...
that's the part that doubts the validity of what i am doing....
