watercolor

in the studiotoday i went to the kandinsky show at the guggenheim,
just 2 days before it closed,
even though it wasn't a conscious decision
i am glad i waited,
i am glad that i was able to came to this current commitment to watercolor
before seeing it.

had i gone months ago
i am not sure i would be able to own this development in the same way
i might have experienced it more as a romance
influenced by kandinsky's extraordinary vision
and his journey of freeing the work
from representational form

it was the paintings made after 1921
that had the power to move me to tears,
one in particular
stunned me
a small oil on board,
predominately blue with glowing pink, magentas and greens,
entitled "light"
i can't find it anywhere on the web
